I am using Wiki to pin down some accurate information about my ancestors. My immediate family through at least three generations is accurate. One is accurate as far as my 5th great grandparents: Josiah Payne (1705-1785), and Mary Anna Fleming (1710-1794), my 6th great grandparents: Henry Arthur Dial (1703- 1764) and Isabella Mae Hastings (1709-1825), my 4th great grandparents Christian John Demarus/Demaris (1757- 1819) and Esther May Demaris Crum (1761-1838). One brick wall is about my 3rd great grandparents: William Thomas (1818-1877) and Elizabeth Betsy Payne (1819-1885). Another brick wall is determining the parents of my 3rd great grandmother Esther Pierce (1799 to some time after the 1870 Federal census). (She said she was related to Franklin Pierce, the President.)
