Ah, yes the blacksmith families are often well researched. Unfortunately I have nothing beyond Per Börjesson Grundström (1730-1796).

I'm adding descendants of Frans Hindersson Lagg on WikiTree and it looks like you're one of them (through Gustaf Mauritz Grundstrom). I have more ancestors for Gustaf if you don't already have them. Most of them were blacksmiths.

Let me know if you like to be added as manager for any of the profiles I've created.

Hi Casey,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

It looks like the Canadian_History Project would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag Canadian_History will help you get updates about activity for that project.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Thanks for joining us! I’m Cindy again, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can answer?

We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.

Hi Kevin

You've been a member for about a week so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!

I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Thanks for volunteering!

You are now an active member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family.

I recommend starting with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you create your family profiles. Building your family tree on WikiTree will help you connect with others who have the same ancestors.

Need help? Just ask!

Above all, have FUN!  :) I hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have!

Kind regards,

Vicky Majewski ~ WikiTree Greeter & Member since August 2015

P.S. If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.

Welcome to WikiTree, Kevin! Your initial email from us contains helpful links to get you started. Totally FREE, Wikitree is unlike any genealogy site you’ve ever used! It's different as our goal is to have one profile per person; that means we all work together in a BIG collaborative team! Once you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer, fill in your tags and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? Most important - have fun growing your family tree and connecting to persons with the same interest. Once you volunteer and one of our Greeters confirms you, you’ll be on your way! Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here. Lee  :)
