Biography

Sarah Clarke is the daughter of Nathaniel Clarke (1645 - 1690) and Elizabeth (Somerby) Clarke - Hale (1646 - 1717)

On June 9 1697, at Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts, Sarah married Nicholas Gilman, son of John Gilman and Elizabeth (Treworgye) Gilman. [1]

Sarah and Nicholas were the parents of ten children. Sarah died on August 25, 1741, in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire and was buried in the Winter Street Burial Ground there. [2]

Her widowed husband, with ten kids to raise, married secondly, on March 11,1742 to Judith (Coffin) Noyes, daughter of James Coffin and Florence (Hooke) Coffin, and a widow of Parker Noyes. [3]

Clarke-4007 and Clark-4744 do not represent the same person because: This cannot be the same Sarah Clarke that married Gilman..Stephen Webster married his Sarah Clark (no e)in 1698 a year after Sarah Clarke married Gilman
