Biography

Edward Converse (Convers) was born in Woburn, Massachusetts, on February 27, 1654-5, the son of Lieut. James Converse and Sarah Long.[1][2][3][4]

He married Sarah Stone, daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Stearns) Stone, in Woburn on November 5, 1684.[2][4][5] Children:

  1. Samuel Converse, born October 9, 1685.[2]
  2. Ann Converse, born October 3, 1687; married John Merry, Jr., of Reading, Massachusetts.[2]
  3. Sarah Converse, born October 14, 1689; died 1713.[2]
  4. Edward Converse, born October 26, 1691; died in two days.[2]

Edward Converse died in Woburn on July 28 (26 gravestone), 1692, "aged 37 years" (gravestone).[2][4][6] He was buried at the First Burial Ground in Woburn, where his gravestone reads:[4]

Converse-39 and Converse-32 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate
Based on the dates (1655-1692) this would also be Wikitree

profile Converse-32...also w/ no PM. I think that profile is probably correct in that THIS Edward marr. Sarah Stone, not James.

I think this might be Edward Converse who died in Woburn in July 1692. That Edward, however, was born in Woburn in 1655. Parents of that Edward were. Lt. James and Sarah Stone. (Converse. The Converse Family and Allied Families, Salem, Salem Press, 1905, p.23

According to records Edward Sr. had children Josiah, James, Mary and Samuel. The Edward mentioned in his will, was his grandson,son of James (not his son).
