Second Marriage: He was married a second time to Mary Craig. They supposedly were the parents of one son and five daughters.

Polly Crawford married Rev. Samuel Gillespie of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
Third Marriage: He was married 24 February 1797 in Augusta County, Virginia to his third wife, Sally Newman.[3] According to the Clemens book, they supposedly had the following children:

Revolutionary War
Lt John Crawford performed Patriotic Service in Virginia in the American Revolution.
He served during the Revolutionary War. When he was not in the field was employed in making guns and other weapons, having acquired his fathers skill as an Ironworker. The day after the Battle of the Cowpens, in which he participated, he was last promoted to 1st Lieutenant on the account of his gallantry in that celebrated battle. He was also at Guilford and with General Greene in all his southern campaigns.[1]
Death
John Crawford, age 91, died at his home on Buffalo Branch, 13 January 1832 and is buried in Hebron Cemetery in Hebron, Augusta, Virginia.[4]

Clemens Book: Doesn't provide sources regarding John or his family. It says he was the third son, but it appears he was the oldest son.
