Hi!

How are you? I'm Guy a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.

Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Hi Bentley, If you are just looking for information on your family, you don't need to Volunteer. You will find the People Search under FIND in the menus, upper right of this page. You can also ask questions in the G2G forum.

If you meant to Volunteer to help grow this wonderful collaborative Tree, please leave a note to that effect. We would love to have you! ~ Happy researching ~

Hello & Welcome, to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile per person.

"Sources are critically important for genealogy. Some even say that genealogy without sources is mythology. Even if you're just a casual family historian recording modern family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from."

Feel free to ask questions at our G2G forum. Also, our help pages menu, top right, has some very useful information.

Our Honor Code is why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree, so please take some time to read it. Want to join us? Check the volunteer box and leave a brief comment about your genealogical journey. Happy researching - Patt
