This Sir John's father is Sir John, First of Mar (1217-1271), so would this Sir John be the "Second of Mar?"

Hi there,

I am trying to find out more about Mary Erskine who came to Canada. She was born in Renfrewshire, Scotland 1788. This is all I know besides that she had James Erskine Orr in Canada with her husband John Orr. They were married in Canada. Prior to her voyage to Canada... I know little. I don't even know if she came over with family. On her tomb stone it only reads father and mother. Maybe she was hoping they would follow or it was homage to them? I don't know.

Erskine-92 and Erskine-710 appear to represent the same person because: based on the daughter and the death date, I think these were intended to be the same person

Hello :) I have been researching the Erskine family and have found that John Erskine b.1260 appears to have been married to Margaret MacGilronan b.1253 - d.1300

I cannot substantiate this but it is reported on sereral sites in Google. Best wishes Carolyn
