Biography

Urbain was born about 1782. He married (1) Marie Gallant around 1802 and (2) Marie Henry in 1822. ^{[1] [2]}He passed away in 1842. Urbain was interred on January 27th 1842 in Saint-Louis-de-Kent. The date of death is not mentioned in the burial record. ^[3]

« Jacques Haché dit Gallant, né vers 1712, était le cadet de la famille de l'ancêtre. Il se maria, à Port- Lajoie, le 20 juin 1735, à Marie-Josèphe Boudrot, fille de François Boudrot dit Manne et de Jeanne Landry. Leur fils Cyprien, né vers 1748, épousa vers 1774 Marie Bernard, fille de Joseph Bernard et de Nathalie Arsenault. Ils devinrent les père et mère de dix garçons, connus dans l'histoire acadienne comme les dix frères de Cascumpec. Le troisième de ces dix frères fut Urbain, né vers 1782. Celui-ci se maria en premières noces, vers 1802, à Marie Gallant, fille de Joseph Gallant et d'Euphrosine Arsenault, et en deuxièmes noces, à Richibouctou-Village, le 17 octobre 1822, à Marie Henry, fille de Pierre Henry et de Geneviève Arsenault. Après son deuxième mariage, Urbain s'installa à Saint-Louis de Kent, où il fut inhumé le 27 janvier 1842. »^[4]
