Sarah was born in 1841 in Georgia. She married Elmore Wyatt Griffith in Georgia in 1858[1] By 1860, they were living in Dale County, Alabama and had an infant son, P. Emett.[2] They were still in Dale County in 1870, but their family had grown to four children.[3] By 1880, Sarah had given birth to two more daughters, Sallie and May.[4]
Sarah died some time between 1880 and 1900, based on available census records.
