Hi Sue, thanks for adding the request for a cemetery category to the request page. I just need the link to the profile that you want the category added to, then I can create the category for you. Thanks! Cheers, Margaret.
I had trouble updating Mary Olford as the name Mary Alford appeared as wife to a John Giles. Somehow it finally showed '2 Mary Olfords;'- Thanks for sorting it out.
Hi Sue , and welcome to WikiTree! You mentioned your ancestors in England. I wanted to let you know we have a great project that focuses on the UK here called United Kingdom Project It would be a great place for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.
You may find some of your ancestors are already on WikiTree and the people in the United Kingdom Project will be happy to help you in any way they can.
Thank you so much for joining WikiTree.
Good luck with your research in 2015.
Sue, you are now a member of WikiTree! Please help us build one Collaborative Global Family Tree, which means only one profile per person. It's important that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.
I am researching Giles of South Australia. G-Grandfather was Peter Frederick Thomas Giles, son of William & Fanny who emigrated from Cornwall on the "Art Union' in 1864. Other names in this family line - Glass, Blick, Snashall.
I am also researching names from my mothers Family. Names of interest - Quinlan, Litchfield, Saberton.
My mother's side of the family are among very early settlers to South Australia. The Earliest arrivals being Charles & Susan West in 1839 aboard the 'Prince Regent', & William Raven & Hanora Beston. (all are my GGG Grandparents) William was part of the 96th regiment & I have yet to determine exact entry to South Australia. My current best guess is 1841.
