Joane, daughter of Margaret and Roger Holcombe, Esq., of Hull (in Devon), married William Perry of Water, eldest sonne[1] of William Perye of Walter and his wife, a daughter of John Frye.[2] Their children were
William, married (1) Barbara Dawney[3] and (2) Thomasine, daughter of Walter Chase[1][4]
Quality of Source: A discussion of Vivian's Visitations concludes:
"The information on the Perry line was given by one of their children. Unless there is some good reason to doubt, I think this is a good source for this marriage and their children." ~ Joe Cochoit[5]

Robert and Richard: Robert and Richard are not mentioned as children in the sources found. From the attached profiles:
Locations: Birth and death in Devon is a good assumption. "Ottery St Mary" for birth needs a citation.
Estimated Dates: Joane's birth and death dates need citations:
Joane Holcombe was born in 1470[6] or 1473 and passed away in 1520.[7]
Joane's father died 20 January 1480,[1] and her mother died 7 April 1499.[1][8]

Just for the benefit of other researchers that may not have an intimate knowledge of Devon, or access to an ordnance survey map, there is no such places as Walters or Upawtrie. There are, however, Water, and Upottery. Possibly someone tried to write them by phonetics, or simply misheard.
It is 'Walter' in the source, so I have followed it with [sic] to show that's how it was written, although not necessarily correct!
Roger Preston is 'of Upawtrie' in the source, so I have put (Upottery) after it for clarification

The Heralds Visitation of the county of Devon, 1531, 1564, and 1620', held at the Yale University Library, page 591, gives both William and Joane. Joan died 1520, and William in 1550, but their offspring would have been required to attend the inquisition and produce their evidence before the Heralds. Please also see page 474 for the pedigree of Holcombe.

Also, Roger Preston, husband of Alice, was of Upottery, Devon, and not as written.

Tim - could you send me a note (post on my page or e-mail me) Friday night to remind me I wanted to update this profile this weekend?
Thanks!
