Research Notes

No evidence has been found to confirm the widely copied view that Elizabeth, the wife of John Blakenship of Virginia is the same person as Elizabeth Hudson who was the daughter of William Hudson of Leicestershire, England. The entry at Findagrave used as a source for her birth states that she was born in Virginia on equally little evidence.

Is there proof that Elizabeth Blankenship's (wife of John) maiden name was Hudson? I have seen this as a guess for years but never any proof.

Hudson-1854 and Hudson-1830 do not represent the same person because: According to FTM http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/m/u/l/Bradley-K-Mullins/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0005.html

Elizabeth would have been a daughter-in-law of Martha Hudson Blankenship. Elizabeth is listed as a daughter of Richard Hudson II and Mary Bowman.
