Hi! How are things going? Do you have any questions? One Month Member!

As you go farther back in your tree, it is a good idea to do a search first to see if you have a match already created on Wiki Tree before creating a new profile. And keep in mind, if you do find a match, odds are the manager is also related to that person and probably you!

There is a great question to review on G2G regarding duplicate profiles and merges. See: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/51703/behind-merges-identifying-lowest-numbered-profile-correct A great place to ask specific question is on G2G. Under My Wiki Tree (on of the links at top right) select G2G PROFILE. You can browse/ask/answer questions. You can also "tag" them by topic. I am a mentor, so let me know if you have any questions! Sounds like a good plan, Tommy. We're very pleased you found us and we look forward to a long association with you.

It's great you've already contributed DNA. It's so helpful to find new cousins and open new avenues for research.

Unless your last name begins with X, if you'll please change your surname to the WikiTree standard of 'Anonymous' one of us will be very happy to confirm you. :)

Hello, Community! I just submitted an AncestryDNA kit to Ancestry.com and am new to genealogy. I am glad I found WikiTree because it aligns with my personal philosophy of information sharing and collaboration. My plan is to use the free month I will be offered on Ancestry.com to gather as much information as I can about my distant family and create a GEDCOM to bring over here. I can also add anything I know about close family right away, though most of them are living and thus shouldn't be completely public.
