John Kingsley, son of John Kingsley and Sarah (Sabin) Kingsley, was born on 26 February 1694 at Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.[1][2][3] John is descended from Mayflower passenger John Billington, through his son Francis Billington, granddaughter Mary Billington and John Kingsley's mother Sarah Sabin.[4]
He married Elizabeth Bass, daughter of John Bass and Elizabeth (Neale) Bass, on 25 Dec. 1717 at Windham, Connecticut.[5][6][2][3] She was born at Braintree, Massachusetts 5 Sep 1696 and died probably at Windham between 8 Nov 1753 and 9 Feb 1754 (father's estate). Named in her father's will, she signed for her share on 8 Nov 1753, but by 9 Feb 1754, John Kingsley, referred to Elizabeth "my former wife" when he signed for the remainder of the legacy of John Bass [4][7]
17 Jan 1749/50, John sold 33 acres at the Second Society at Windham to Benjamin Bidlack.[4]
John died after 9 Feb 1754, after signing for part of his wife's legacy.[7] No probate records have been found for John or his wife Elizabeth.[4]
