Biography

I've been researching the Codd, St. Leger, Stout, Hart and Throckmorton family lines for 8 years. I am a member of the Jamestowne Society, First Families of Maryland and Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence. I am currently working on my application for BOMC. Although these lines I descend have been proven I continue to search for any and all information that can be found. I have helped several individuals with their research that have resulted in their ability to join the above mentioned Societies. I have two Gateway Ancestors; St. Leger Codd and John Throckmorton.

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Sources are very important here on Wikitree, especially on Pre-1700 profiles. It is how we show where we got the info and help others find it too. Find out more about sources here and more detailed info here.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. If you have any questions, be sure to use the "reply link" for this comment so that I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment on my profile page.

Hi Jackie,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.

I'm here to help with issues and questions about how WikiTree works. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send a private message.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.

PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.

Welcome Jackie

I am pleased to confirm you as a full member, and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:New_Member_How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site, and find many cousins you never knew existed.

Happy tree climbing

Karen ~ WikiTree Greeter
