Allan was born on 24th October 1847 at Glenduart (Moruya) New South Wales, Australia. His parents were James Laing and Isabella McLean. Allan was baptised on 28 May 1848 at Portland Head Booh, New South Wales, ^[1]

Marriage

Allan married Ruth Atkins on 25 Apr 1882 at Bomballa, New South Wales, Australia. ^[2] Allan and Isabella had 11 Children
