His obituary, from Newspapers.com, imaged at FiindAGrave, states he was born on the Lapham farm, in Queensbury town and moved to Glens Falls with his family when he was 10.

if all are correct he had four. Anna appears on the 1855 census, Mary on the 1865 (clear in the image) and 1870, Fannie in 1880.

In 1870 Caroline, 38, was living in Brooklyn New York with her husband Abner Beckwith, their son Charles and Emmet and Clarinda Lake, Caroline's brother & sister-in-law.^[9]

According to FindAGrave memorial # 54683435 Abner Kneeland Beckwith died in 1873 Caroline's FindAGrave profile gives her death date as 8 Apr 1879 (aged 47) and her burial site as "plot 11 lot 30" in the Bay Street Cemetery in Glens Falls, Warren County, New York. The plot designation is the same as the "Lapham Plot" where Benjamin is buried and the stone imaged matches Fannie's.^[10]
