James Liddell was born about 1712 in Scotland[1][2], son of John James Liddell Sr (~1675 - ~1725) and Janet McLay (Smith) Liddell (1687 - ~1713).
James married Ester Porter , daughter of Nicholas Porter and Bathsheba Reed. Their children were:
