  • Find A Grave Memorial# 11436082', Frances Bushnell [unproven Hosmer, Ancient Burying Ground, Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut; provides summaries said from "U.S., Sons of the American Revolution Membership Applications, 1889-1970"; "Family Data Collection - Marriages"; "Connecticut, Deaths and Burials Index, 1650-1934." Comments that "Frances Bushnell is NOT the daughter of Francis Bushnell," saying, "If you read all the documents associated with Francis Bushnell, Jr and Sr, no daughter Frances is ever listed. It appears to be a family story and not documented in any other way"; "grave site details as "wife of Thomas, age 73."

Hi All,

Working to remove sources recently added to the "biography"; will add maintenance category, needs inline citations. --Gene

Edited to add: Appears the recently added passage (list of sources) had been copied into the profile, in full, from FindAGrave.

Parents now detached.

Once upon a time I had photocopies of Hosmer Heritage -- there was nothing about "Maynard." Frances was listed with no maiden name. I vote for removing fantasy parents.

Malcolm, do you have the 2005 book Hosmer Heritage? Could you please look at it to see what the source is for Maynard being Frances' maiden name?
