Biography

Laura McElreath was born in Athens, Georgia in 1890 of parents Mark McElreath and Lois May. ^[1]

Laura married Horatio Burton in March 1912 in Athens, Georgia. ^[2] They lived in Princeton, Clarke, Georgia. They had one child. Horatio died in 1934.

Laura married Bertram Hendrickson August 1939 in Athens, Georgia. ^[3] The 1940 US Census enumerates Bertram as Head of household with an eight year old son and a three year old daughter. The son, Bertram was born in Tyler, Texas. He was Bertram's son with a prior wife. The daughter, Roseann E noted in the 1940 census was three years old. Father was probably Bertram since his previous wife died in 1938.

Laura died May 1987 in Athens, Georgia. She was buried in Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens. Find A Grave Website
