With help i have researched my family tree back to Hugh Mccoll born 1745 in Kenlochaigh, parish of Appin and Lismore. He married Mary Mclaren also born 1745 in same area. Have been unable to get back further but have a lot of descendant info and would like to find more. I recently started to research my mothers ancestors and this has proved far more interesting. I have found ancestors in Scotland in the Ruthven family infamous and intermarried in some very high noble families in Scotland and have also now found a connection with John Howland through his daughter Hannah who married one of my ancestors who went to America. All very fascinating but im not the best at finding things out so takes me some time . Hoping to find some American people related to me thru taking a DNA test
