Claude Flory in Geneanet claimed Rachel Morgan-8948 was the daughter of Thomas Morgan-1013 and Hester Taylor-14202. Thomas Morgan-1013 mentioned a daughter Reachel in his 1774 Bedford County will, and Rachel Morgan-8948 and her husband John McClain-999 named a son Thomas McClain-1413. However, documentation remains elusive that it was Thomas Morgan’s daughter, Reachel, who married John McClain-999 in Bedford County about 1777 and, in 1811, relocated to Shelby County, Kentucky.
Morgan-8948 and Morgan-24145 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate. There is a misspelling of the last name McClain vs. McCain in the header.
