The book Mustards of North America contains some errors in regard to this family. The author's information was based on the recollections of Hugh Mustard's grandson whose notions about this family were vague and who mixed up last names of relatives. There was a David Ross, nephew of George Mustard who lived in Esquesing. Hugh Mustard was George's brother and he arrived in Canada much later and lived in a different area of Ontario from his brothers George and James. George's son David was dead and gone when this informant was born. He had little idea about George's family.
