James was born about 1812. He was the son of George Mustard and Sarah Unknown. James is mentioned in the article on the Mustards in Markham Historical Society, Markham 1793-1900,1979 pp. 76- 77 as being the brother of William and son of George. His birthdate is suggested as 1813 there.[1]
