Biography

Alexander was born in 1823. He is the son of George Mustard and Sarah Unknown. ^[1]

Alexander married Mary McFarlane in the early 1850s and they had at least 8 children. By 1860, the family had moved to Scott township, York County where Alexander can be found farming in the 1861 Census of Canada West.^[2]In that census he was aged 37 and his wife Mary was aged 28, born in Ireland. Their eldest child is 8, making their marriage date likely to be about 1851. Alexander and Mary are buried at Foster Memorial Cemetery in Uxbridge, Ontario.^[3]Alexander died in 1902 and Mary died in 1894.
