Biography

Jone married 1st, Roger Nudd about 1626, probably at Ormesby, England, and 2nd, on 6 Feb 1630/1, Henry Dow, of Runham, Norfolk, England.[1]

Joan (Nudd) Dow "sailed 1637, departing Ipswitch, England," along with her husband, Henry Dow, and her sons, Thomas Dow and Henry Dow, Jr, arriving 8 June 1632 at Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony on either the ship "John and Dorothy" or "The Rose." [2][3]

She "died at Watertown, Massachusetts" and was buried 20 June 1640.[1][4]

Children

  1. Thomas, was 11 years old when his mother died. He was raised by his step-father, Henry Dow, as his own son. Married Sarah Dearborn; died 31 January 1713.[5]

This 2nd Thomas may have died, before a 3rd was born shortly before mother's death. Thomas, son of Henry Dow & Jane Dow, was born on 10 July 1641 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.[6]

Hi K!

Thank you! Are you working on this profile? If a trusted source for her maiden name cannot be found I believe it needs to be changed to Unknown.
