Notes
Note H119Note; It has been said that names in the line beyond the 1300s are not proven to the extend needed for template ordinances despite that statement it all seems to fit - The Hendrick 's genealogy book p 573 under the heading "Anjou chart" In the Late 1920s William Forman W yckoff engaged Dr. Gustave Anjou, who was going abroad for genealogical research for other fa milies to give some time to the Pieter Claesen line and the report goes from the known to the unknown... few accept the report in "toto" and not ...water-tight. Dr. Anjou said there were 17 generations between Pieter Claesen and Godwin, Earl of Essex. This material comes from the Wyckoff Family Bulletin, 15 Nov 1958, p. 18

Removed Claes Corneliss (Van Schouwen, Wijckoff) as his son , he was born abt 1607 according the marriage record , so these can't be his parents because they both died before this date...
Wyckoff-94 and Petersson-14 appear to represent the same person because: This is now the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
Claes born 1570 appears to be a real sibling of Cornelius born 1560, but the two have been conflated in genealogies as Claes Cornelius. I think the origin of that error is confusion with a well-documented son of Cornelius, who is named patronymically as Claes Cornelissen.
We should try to finalize this decision by a deadline of one week at the latest, by Sat. June 7, 2014.
It has already had some merges completed, and has a consistent name form with the ancestors.

This surname is completely wrong. The (sur)name at birth should be either Erickson or Petersson - as in the son of Cornelis Petersson ...) (Wijckhoff / Wyckoff did not exit then). See the biographic information on the surname on the profiles of his son and his grandon. Sincerely, Philip van der Walt-440
