Hi Richard, I've edited Lunt-106 (Polly Lunt Poor) back to the given name of Polly. You cite a secondary source for her given name being "Mary", but in all three contemporary records (birth, marriage and death) she is called Polly. The "Memoires" may call her Mary, but her records all use Polly. If there is any *primary* record with Mary for her, I have not seen it.

Hi!

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.

WikiTree strives to be a fun, collaborative, productive site. It's also different than what many people are used to. Please take advantage of the Help Menu in the upper right hand corner, our G2G Forum and of course, our Mentors :)

Do you have any questions I can help with?

Eowyn ~ Mentor/Team Member

Welcome Richard,

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the G2G forum, you might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)

I've been dabbling with my family history for a few years. Much of what I've learned has come from the following: " the Memoirs and Genealogy of John Poore" by Alfred Poor, 1881.
