DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Edward by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
Rhode Island Vital Records list Edward's parents as Edward and Amey (his second wife). This appears to be an error as Edward is referred to as his eldest son. 1st wife Abigail's first marriage was annulled by the Court in 1657 which allowed her to marry Edward.
Richmond-1127 and Richmond-646 appear to represent the same person because: These were marked as a rejected match, but I believe they are the same person. Difference in birthplace is likely related to name changes over time and difference in death date is due to different interpretation of "double dates" in the old calendar.
