Erna C. Schmidt was born 22 March 1895 at Haugen, Barron County, Wisconsin. She was a daughter of Robert F. Schmidt and Emma Kunz. In early years, she used the name “Erna” or “Irna”, though, in later years, she used the name “Erma” or Irma”. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

Obituary of Irma C. Schmidt

"Irma C. Schmidt, 1710 Plaza Way, died this morning at Park Manor Nursing Home. She was 80 . . . . Mrs. Schmidt, who was born in Haugen, Wis., on March 22, 1895, had lived in Walla Walla most of her life. She attended the First Church of God. Survivors include her sisters, Mrs. Petrus (Elsie) DeBoer of Walla Walla, Mrs. Eugenia Cochran of Kennewick, and Mrs. Violet Jansen of Medford, Ore.; and her brother, Harry Schmidt, of Medford, Ore." ^[4]
