Biography

Thomas was baptized on 8 August 1714 in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, recorded as the child of Niclaas Schoonhoven and Wyntjen Kwik. Witnesses were Abraham Lameeter and Rebecca Westvaal.^[1]

He married Marya Westfael (Maria Westfall) (b Jan 28, 1719 Machackemeck NY d abt 1775) in Orange County, NY, daughter of Jacob Westfael and Margriet Dutcher. He died in Orange County, NY. ^[2]

NOTE: Thomas' father was not a biological child of van Schoonhoven. His father was Dirk van Vliet aka Peg Leg Perrick, but he was baptized Schoonhoven.
