Biography

Landrum Search was born August 27, 1829 in Warren County, Indiana. He was the son of William Search and Susannah A. Russell. At age 20, he was living on his parent's farm in Liberty, Warren County, Indiana where he was farming.^[1]

He married Armenia Lasley (1834-) on February 3, 1856 in Warren County, Indiana.^[2] The had 5 children.

They lived in Ross, Vermilion County, Illinois in 1860, where he was a Farmer, and Armenia was taking care of the home and children, Lawence-4, Florence-4, and Mary-2, with his brother William-15, living with them.^[3]

He served in the Civil War, as a Corporal in Company D. 113 Illinois Infantry.^[4]

He died on March 29, 1863, on the Fltg Hospital Ship, "Nashville".^[5]of Descentary, on a Hospital ship off Louisana.^[4] A pension for his wife, Amenia Search and son Russell Search was issued in 1863.^[6]
