Surry County NC wasn't formed until 1771. In 1725 this part of North Carolina was still wilderness. Settlers of European and English origin didn't arrive until the 1740s. See for example, Carolina Cradle: Settlement of the Northwest Carolina Frontier, 1747-1762, by Robert W. Ramsey.

What is the source for the birth of Reuben in 1725, and his marriage in 1746? The dates are reasonable, but neither occurred in Surry County.
