Thomas C. Simmons (son of Willis Richard Simmons, Sr. and Martha Jane Brock) was born March 12, 1867, and died July 29, 1915 in Pike County, Ms. He married Carrie M. Boyd on November 23, 1888 in Pike County, MS, daughter of Marion F. Boyd and Rachael Gulledge.
Tom operated a cotton gin and a mercantile business in the old Silver Creek Post Office across the road from his home.
