Bethiah (aka Bethia) Snow was born in September 1688 in West Bridgewater, Plymouth Bay colony, New England (merged into the Province of Massachusetts Bay in 1691). She was the daughter of William Snow Jr. and his wife Naomi (Whitman) Snow. William Snow Jr. was a descendant of Peter Brown(e) who had come to Plymouth Bay in 1620 aboard the "Mayflower." .[1]
Bethiah Snow married widower Elisha Hayward on February 1, 1721, in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., Province of Massachusetts Bay, New England. He had 5 small children, including two sets of twins. Elisha and Bethia (Snow) Hayward had 3 children together:[2]
Bethia (Snow) Hayward died around 1745. This time, with his children older, Elisha waited until July 21, 1747, before he married a 3rd time, to widow Abigail (Hathaway) Eddy. He and Abigail had no children together. [3]

GENEALOGICAL NOTE: This profile originally used Ancestry.com sources that, unfortunately, have been proven to be mistaken. Bethiah Snow, born on September 28, 1688, in Bridgewater, English colony of Plymouth, New England, and the daughter of William Snow and Naomi (Whitman) Snow, did NOT marry a Mr. Elisha Howard. She married Elisha Hayward, who was the son of Nathaniel Hayward and Hannah (Willis) Hayward. The Haywards were Plymouth colonists, arriving in 1635, with a pedigree extending back to Aylesford, Kent, England, spelling their name HAYWARD (or sometimes Heyward but not Howard). Several "family trees" have perpetuated the mis-spelling as Howard but it is not justified. Added by Chet Snow July 15, 2016.

On 1 Feb 1721 Bethia married Elisha Hayward, born 1674 in Taunton, Bristol, Plymouth Colony, New England.[6] He was a recent widower as his 1st wife, Experience Harvey, had just died, leaving him with 5 young children, including 2 sets of twins, to raise.
The couple lived in Bridgewater and had 3 children together:[7]
Bethia (Snow) Hayward passed away around 1745 and her husband remarried on 31 July 1747.
