Biography

I am a Stubblefield through Johnie Stubblefield, Jr., Johnnie Orville Stubblefield, Sterling Price Stubblefield, Absalom Stubblefield, Nathaniel Stubblefield, William Seth Stubblefield. I have been researching our family for 32 years. My dad did a DNA test several years ago, which linked us to many Stubblefields. I am hoping to connect with other Stubblefield researchers and fill in the gaps.

Hi Kim,

I just came across your name as a distant cousin. I'm researching the Stubblefields in great depth and thought I should write you a note. Our common ancestor is Nathaniel Stubblefield-109. I took a 23 & Me test awhile ago, and later had my granddaughter Addie take one as well to help her trace her ancestry (her father/my son was adopted and his birthmother was adopted as well, so the trail is quite cold). Addie and I turned out to be 5th cousins, and I was able to trace our shared ancestry back to Nathaniel Stubblefield by triangulating with another Stubblefield cousin who also took 23 & Me and has a shared DNA segment with my granddaughter and I. Sorry that this is so complicated. I'm now trying find any Stubblefields that married Colliers, Bacons, and Stouts, and whose ancestors stayed in the midwest. Meanwhile, if you have any questions about Stubblefields, I may be able to answer them. I'm coming across a lot of information in my triangulation search.
