I’ve not heard back from you regarding the 1776 Project check-in so have gone ahead and removed you from the project for now.

If you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here

Many thanks,

Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

Hi,

I sent you a check-in message several days ago about the 1776 Project to ask you about your past and continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?

If I don’t hear from you in a week or so, I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things, but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,

Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

Hi Sydna,

It's time for a 1776 Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know if you want to continue as a member of the project. We'd like to know:

  • If you are on the right team or if you'd like to make a change. It's a requirement that every 1776 Project member is a part of one of the project's teams, so if you're not assigned to a team, let us know which team you'd like to join.
  • What you think the project is doing well, and what changes you'd like to see us make?

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the 1776 Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back.

Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

I proposed a merge of two Gaston profiles you manage. I think there are a few others that are duplicates but not sure if you are the manager. Plus, sorting through the Gaston profiles is worse than trying to sort the the Kirkpatrick profiles! My eyes are cross and will get back to it later. Thanks!

My Susan Elizabeth Gaston (6 Jan 1856: Virginia) is not the same as your Elizabeth Gaston (31 Jul 181: Indiana territory)

Hi Sydna,

Since you are a member of the 1776 project I was wondering if you would be interested in participating in the US Southern Colonies project that is just now getting started? We are setting up sub projects of it, and each of those will need a leader which as a member you can volunteer to do. If there is an area where you have interest or knowledge we sure could use the help! Please see the project page at: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:US_Southern_Colonies#Scottish or if you would just like to participate in shaping this new project, you can join the google forum at: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/wikitree-us-southern-colonies

Thanks for your consideration!

Nae

Hi Sydna, you are welcome to become a trusted member of Benjamin Hickman. Can you ask for it and I will approve? Thanks for letting me know you have more information.

Wonderful. Will you add the info to the profiles?

Sydna,

I was checking back on some of my direct ancesters (john grubb) and saw his profile with you as manager. I just want to say that the info you presented in the text shows the dedication and attention to details that is so valued by we who are looking into the past. Thank you!

Welcome to the 1776 Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:1776

There are category links to add to your ancestor's profiles and research links to learn more about your family. The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project.

Some categories have a template (DAR, SAR) to add at the top of a biography. If not, add a category link by putting the category name such as Category:American Revolution British Generals in double brackets. Thank you.

Hi Sydna, my grandmother was a Buffington. I have traced my grandfathers back to Richard Buffington born in 1655 death in 1747. He married Ann Parsons. I think it is quit amazing that he lived to be in his 90's back in that time.

Hi Sydna, thank you for your offer of help on the Buffington family. Unfortunately, it's not in my direct line. I am interested in Margaret's Ward family, however.
