Biography

Reuben, son of John Taylor and Wait Clapp, was born on 21 November 1703 in Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

He and his brothers all signed a distribution agreement on how to distribute land from their father's estate on 5 April 1745.^[4]

He died at his hometown of Norwalk, Connecticut Colony, 23 June 1752 ^[2] at the age of 48.

His inventory was taken on 21 July 1752 and recorded at Fairfield.^[5]

The estate distribution was ordered on 8 July 1755 to the widow, Reuben (eldest son), Samuel, Mary, Reuben ( youngest son of Eunice, daughter of the deceased), Abigail, Martha, Betty, Adriah, and Esther (daughters of the deceased), Thaddeus, Preserved, and William.^[6]

He was married to Eunice Couch. ^[7] They had twelve (12) children during their marriage:
