The last name at birth/parents and origins of Mary, wife of Edward Jackson, are unknown. Some sources call her Mary ____, others have her named as Mary Thayer and/or Mary Newton.
Mary married Edward Jackson[1][2] about 1695, probably in Newton (no marriage record found). They had the following children whose births were recorded in Newton, Massachusetts:
Mary's date of death is unknown, but she was living on 6 January 1651/2, when she was named in a deed from Abraham Jackson, grandson of Edward and Mary, to Michael Jackson, tanner, in consideration of said Michael's furnishing firewood for Mary during her life.[1]

Last Name at Birth
Possible sources for her LNAB to eventually follow up on:
Torrey entry: "JACKSON, Edward & Mary [?THAYER] (not NEWTON); by 1696; Newton".
Bassett-Preston calls her "Mary Thayer (1665-1743) or a. 1694 Mary Newton (Roger)" 161

I've been researching the family of Thomas and Hannah Thayer of Braintree, and based on reviewing the most credible sources, I don't think that Mary was their daughter. I also looked up all of the sources listed by Torrey in NE Marriages before 1700 for the marriage of Edward Jackson and Mary of Newton. Only one source, Bassett-Preston Genealogy said she might be a Thayer, most others gave her name as Newton, but I think the truth is that her name is unknown.
Unless we can find a source showing that Thomas & Hannah Thayer were her parents, I plan to disconnect her. Also, I'd recommend considering changing her last name to Unknown. Sometimes opening up that space generates some new leads.
Deleted Deliverance Priest as her mother. Deliverance was the wife of Shadrach Thayer. Shadrach and Deliverance had a daughter named Mary, but she was a different Mary Thayer.
