I've been researching my family tree for several years and am currently writing some of my family stories on a private website that I share with my immediate family. I've been maintaining all vital records and notes in a genealogy application that I first set up in early 2010, having previously captured and stored information in paper form. Over the past 10 years I've really enjoyed having uncovered facts that have put bones on the hearsay of past generations. I find the connections with other researchers can be fascinating and can oft time uncover information and detail that builds out the stories of our ancestors.

The 2023 Source-a-Thon is coming up on the weekend commencing 29 September. As usual it’s a 72 hour event. The Southern Cross Stars team will be participating and we’d love to have you on the team again if you’re available. You can register at now at register-now-for-the-2023-source-a-thon. We’re not a super-competitive team, so even if you are only free for a couple of hours or you like to work slowly and go down rabbit holes, it will be fun to have you involved.
