Van der Linde-607 and Leendertsz-14 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicates. Leendertsz-14 already existed. Please be more careful when creating profiles Johan - nearly all of the pre-1700 and even pre-1750 profiles have already been created ...
The project profile [email address removed] has been added to the trusted list of this profile [Privacy Tab] and then also activated as active manager (this profile has been validated with a [transcription of a] baptism [image]. and [will be] Project Profile Protected). All remaining active managers have been moved to the trusted list. Appreciatively thanks, Philip (project research coordinator)
It seems that he was baptized in the patronymic convention. Where does the van der Linde come into the picture? When is this form of the LNAB first seen in connection with Gerit? We will have correct the LNAB into Leendertsz with the current LNAB set as van der Linde.
Van der Linde-35 and Van der Linde-66 appear to represent the same person because: Same data (name, spouse). Van_der_Linde-66 has the correct spelling of the LNAB (lower case prefix 'v' and 'd') and should be the target profile to merge into.
Van Der Linde-40 and Van der Linde-66 appear to represent the same person because: Same data (name, spouse, children) van der Linde-66 has the more correct spelling of the LNAB (lower case 'v'and 'd').
If you have the baptismal record, please upload it (as well as the others of his children) fully cited and sourced. Also, I proposed a merge of Van Der Linde into the lower case spelled van der Linde. Diederik might have been the second name, or patronymic. There are cases where baptism took place many years after birth. Even so, the data you provide should be worked into the bio and the whole WikITree endeavor is a collaborative one - there can only be one profile per person and Geertruij Putter can only have one Gerrit van der Linde as spouse.
Van Der Linde-40 and Van der Linde-66 are not ready to be merged because: 1. Name: There is no original documents that I am aware of suggesting that Gerrit's second name was 'Diederik'. Diederik can also not be a paternome as my records suggest that Gerrit is the son of Leendert Rochuszn van der Linde and Soetje Leenders Vermolen (Vermeulen) If anything, he should be Gerrit Leenders van der Linde. I have images of his own baptism (25 May 1692), his marriage, all the Baptism records of his children (on record) as well as an inscription in the Monsterrolle and nowhere is the name 'Diederik' used.
2. Date of birth: The date of his baptism (25 May 1692) suggest that he was born closer to 1692 and not 10 years earlier in 1682.
3. Date of death: I have no death date for Gerrit van der Linde. He was a baptism whitness of his grandchild Maria Magdalena de Minnetrie on 1 September 1737 and the 1731 date is definately incorrect. I cannot confirm 1741 and would like to have it removed from my profile (Van der Linde-66) unless an image of an original document can be forwarded to me.
4. Place of birth: When the town/city of origin for Gerrit was mentioned, the name Rotterdam was indeed used. However, Charlois was a small municipality on the island Ijselmonde to the south of Rotterdan. This is where Gerrit was born (according to my records - image of baptism event available). Charlois was later incorporated into Rotterdam and I believe that Gerrit preferred to use Rotterdan, rather than Charlois to define his origin, but this would not make it his place of Birth.
5. Surname: 'van der' should not be capitilised.
