I hope it helps Cheers.....

I guess the image Villiers-183-1 you uploaded Is your record for Anne Villier.

It apparently is an index of names pointing to pages in the same book. And yes, it names a Anne Villers (!) to be found on page 51. Looking at page 51 the record there is for April 1678 and says "22 Anne daughter of Peter Villers by Anne his wife"

It is obvious this record has no relation to the Anna Villiers of this profile.

Hi Jan,

That page that you are referring to is merely a reference for the family of Villiers, including Peter Villiers.

I don't have a problem with merging, as long as this profile is corrected and amended prior to a merge. Her name is Anne Frances (Villiers) Bentinck.

I don't see the logic of Anne Frances. You give a baptism with name Frances, so that should be the PFN, with possibly Anne as preferred name.

Question still is why your baptism source would refer to Anne, not to a Frances.

Hi the parish record has her name as Anne. The record for Frances I believe is referring to her mother.

Apparently the only available semi-original source you cite for your Anne Frances is a transcription of "The registers of St. Paul's Church, Covent Garden, London" as can be found here and here.

The 12 Nov 1654 entry explicitly names only Frances as the daughter's name. No evidence that this would be a daughter named Anne.

Earlier you referred to "Anne Villiers-pge51 film 007809927". That would be image 51, but there is no entry for a "Anne Villiers" there...

Villiers-307 and Villiers-183 appear to represent the same person because: These two profiles are intended to be the same person and should be merged. The 1654 birthdate on Villiers-307 is possibly that of another child of Edward Villiers, and Frances Howard.

Villiers-307...according to the birth records and documents attached it does say Anne Villiers-pge51 film 007809927, register of St. Paul Covent Garden, however on pge.52 of (same film) ,is written Frances - Nov 12 1654. Maybe questionable, maybe not.

As you may have noticed Megan has not yet agreed on the merge. She insists on a name change for which I see no evidence.

Not neccesarily John, the country is not really relevant, it is the language she was baptised in, and the spelling of that name on the baptism record.

Hi Philip,

Please read my reply to John. There is no Anna Francesca Villiers, only Anne Frances Villiers. I believe the marriage record has spelling errors, sometimes records do, including Wikapedia.

Her first name should be Anne, as she would have been born in England. Does anyone have a source for Francesca or Frances, as her middle name? The only source I can see on the profile currently is from an online genealogy that gives her name as Frances, but doesn't cite any sources itself.

Hi John,

I have a birth, baptism record for Anne Frances Villiers. I believe that there is no Anna Francesca Villiers, only Anne Frances Villiers. I am having trouble adding spouse,to Anne Frances Villiers profie,... as there is a profile of Anna Francesca Villiers on Hans Willem Bentinck profile. I won't add until this is sorted out. Cheers, Megan
