DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Karen or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Karen:

Have you taken a DNA test? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

Hi Karen,

My name is Dodie and I am the coordinator for the Ostrander Name Study as well as a WikiTree Mentor. I have seen that you have added several Ostranders to your tree. That is awesome. However, these profiles are also unsourced which is very very sad. I would love to work with you in getting these profiles sourced and added to the correct branches of the Ostrander family. I have already begun adding the Ostrander Name Study to one of the profiles. I will go in and source and separate them into the correct branches. If there is any information that I can give you or help that you may need, please feel free to message me any time.

Welcome to WikiTree my Ostrander Cousin!

Karen, have you seen our Project: United Empire Loyalist? I bet you'd fit right in!

Hi Karen: Sorry for the delay in responding. I am not on this site on a regular basis. I am definitely interested in the Project: United Empire Loyalist. My fore fathers were Americans fighting for the British in the War of Independence in the U.S. After the war, everything was confiscated and they fled to Ontario. There are several documents that prove I am eligible to be listed a descendent of a United Empire Loyalist. Cheers, Karen

Hi Karen,

Welcome to WikiTree! Our goal is one big tree. We all work as a team to make this happen.

It doesn't matter if you have a lot of ancestors to add or just a few, getting started is easy! Add your personal tags, family surnames or topics that might interest you with a short description below them. Tags are very important and will help you connect with others about people, projects, etc. Then click the volunteer button below, and that's all you need to do.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way! I am looking forward to seeing you on Wiki Tree. I hope we have some tags in common.

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.

Linda
