On Peter's Mason line:
Peter descends from Thomas Parker born 2 May 1784 in Burnley, Lancashire, England. He has several DNA matches to Thomas's descendants.
DNA cousin matches suggest that a descendant of Thomas Parker and a descendant of George Barnett had a child who was Peter's ancestor.
Peter descends from [Barnett-8364|George Barnett and/or Hannah Manley, and has several DNA matches to their descendants.
One of the children of Mary Barnett and Captain John Crook, harbour master of Sydney, may be a parent of James Frederick Mason (1887 - 1965). There is no information of John Crook's antecedents.
One of Peter's Barnett ancestors, on the other side from the Parkers, is an ancestor of Alfred Percival James Crew aka Perry or Marjorie Ford.
Other ancestors connecting to the Barnett ancestor have descendants in the groups I have named "Silverwood" and "Silverwood/Others" (no trees), but a common ancestor has not been found at this stage of research. Mason-12759 23:44, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
One of Peter's ancestors is a descendant of William Richardson and Mary McParlan. The match is a relatively close 3-4 cousin match, and is a distinct group only matching one male first cousin. Best guess is that the 3-4 DNA cousin, the known first cousin, and Peter descend from a descendant of William and Mary, and that descendant was one parent of James Frederick Mason. My family and I have been trying to find information on John Stanley Randall for years. I am just wondering how you got the information to be linked here (specifically his adoption and not knowing the birth parents). We have been trying to trace down his birth certificate.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I have discussed my involvement here with another of your family members - that I have adopted his profile so kept the notes regarding his adoption and lack of parental knowledge as still pertinent to his profile until someone purchases his birth record and adds whatever further information can be gleaned from it. I am confident of he was the descendant of the Dawson family, as Peter has DNA matches to descendants of John Stanley Randall.
