Thanks for adding profiles to WikiTree. There are reasons behind the 8th point in our Honor Code: "We cite sources. Without sources we can't objectively resolve conflicting information."

A source provides a way to find out more about the person. Showing sources reduces confusion and duplicates.

How Do You Find Sources? offers links to free sources (and a few for subscription). If you can't find a source, try asking about it at the G2G Forum.

The Sources Style Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography.

Please contact me with any questions you have about adding sources to the profiles you manage Mary

Welcome to WikiTree, I'm Mary, a Mentor. Our goal is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to avoid http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Duplicates before adding a profile.

Adding DOB, DOD, locations, references attached to every person assists all of us!

Currently family genealogist for the von Studnitz Family Association (most members are in Germany), I am a retired California State employee and current City Commissioner in my city of residence. I have well over 30 generations of ancestors in my database (not in all lines of course) but am always looking for more of them as well as relatives.
