Why can't I change privacy level from open for person born 1866 (154 years ago) died 1940 (80 years ago)

The only option is open. I should be able to chose open tree and privacy for bio

See it is over 150 but the bio names children do I then have to leave out the children

See from other questions my only choice is to remove part of the bio. Will that info still show under changes?

His children (3 mentioned in Changes log) all appear to be deceased, so you can mention them on George's profile even if their profiles are privacy locked.

You should not mention (by name or other personally identifiable information) any living persons on an open, public, private with public biography, or private with public biography and family tree profile.

I didn't want them to be public as they are not my family--an error from me putting them there because of wrong math.

If you are concerned about privacy then you have a simple thing to do. Don't deal with any profile that has a birth date or death date under 150 years ago.

If you want to be technical about it you have added information onto George's father which can identify someone who died only 70 years ago.

The other issue is that there is information publically searchable that can be anywhere from 109 years ago as in the 1911 England and Wales census for George to FindAGrave or Wikipedia which can be up to date.

As I said I made a mistake in the math If I hadn't made that error it wouldn't have happened. I realize the information can be found. I just don't want to be the one who put it there for the public.
I'm not sure what the problem is. The children are also deceased.

Because the rule at WikiTree is that profiles of people who were born more than 150 years ago are to be open.

I had a math mistake to start out with used 2000 in my head instead of 2020 so do realize that was the reason.

But if you don't think about or make an addition mistake as I did, and and add newer information to the bio--your have no way of protecting it or removing it.

You can't make it semi private it and it is impossible to remove them from the change history.

They remain in the history even if you delete them.

I have tried it should be possible to either over ride or remove newer information from the bio without it being shown in the changes
