What to do with this profile

This is a profile of Ichabod Davis that was presumably created from information derived from records relating to other people of the same name, including Ichabod Davis b.1676: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Davis-4868

What should be done with this profile? I imagine information gradually being consolidated into the same profile. There are multiple generations with the same name and spouse: the spouses name is often Suzy/ Susanna, sometimes called Kirby, or Dollard. See also this unsourced Geni tree, also including the name Kirby, but as a mother rather than spouse of Ichabod. https://www.geni.com/people/Rees-Davis-Esq/6000000007239368525

Information connecting to the documented family of Rees Davis of Tickenham presumably derives from the following book: https://archive.org/details/davisfamiliesofe00rock/page/28/mode/1up

Rees Davis has a sourced profile on wikitree: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Davis-9543 but also happens to be duplicated as a father of Ichabod: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Davis-6395

The original profile was created as Ichabod Davis, b. 1569 in Bennefield, Northamptonshire England, died there 1603, son of Rees Davis-6395 and Katherine (Unknown-86689) Kirby, without sources cited. If there are other iterations of this profile on the web, it will reappear.

Why are you trying to make him into a man who lived in the colonial US? I think the better strategy is to strip him back to the original form, and if no sources are found to support that he existed, add the {{Uncertain Existence}} template.

Hi, you will notice everyone with this particular name was related to a family in colonial America. I am not trying to turn it into everything- I am just investigating where the information, including the name, potentially comes from.
It may be worth investigating these, as it appears he would be part of the unproven ancestry of Dollar Davis:
