I'm researching ancestors of Matthew Alexander, b. 1826 in Newcastle, England.

Question

I'm looking for ancestors of Matthew Alexander (1826-1910) and Jane Rutherford (1827-?). They were lived in Newcastle, England. I have a good genealogy of the descendants of Matthew and several hints about his parents but nothing verifiable. I want to know that the line I'm researching is the correct one. If anyone has any information I'd be truly grateful.
