I wanted to share this family photo of Daniel Troutman with the community. Location: Rich Valley, Smyth, Virginia, United States. Date: about 1900. This is my great-grandfather. He loved horses as did my father. Recently, my nephew, Daniel's great-great-grandson has discovered the beauty of owning a horse and is teaching his daughter to ride.

Thank you for sharing this great photo of Danial and his house Zola! He looks very well-dressed for caring for his horse. Maybe he was saying goodbye to his horse before going out in his Sunday best.
