How can I rename a category?

At

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:County_Limerick%2C_Cemeteries

we are asked to "Please ensure when creating new categories that you follow this format: [[Category: Cemetery Name, Location, County]]. Please DO add 'County' before the county name ..."

Both subcategories listed on that page have "Limerick", not "County Limerick".

How can I rename these subcategories to accord with the recommended policy? Neither the [edit] link nor the [copy & rename] link appears to have any effect.

That seems to be working, Jim - apart from an extra stray "is" and unnecessary capitalisation in the warning which pops up:

"Warning: This is category will be Renamed and should not be used."

Many thanks.

Paddy, the Help page section I quoted says

If you rename a category, the destination category must be created in advance.

but the new categories are showing as red. I think a further step is needed in each case.

I thought my contribution was finished when I saw "This Category is waiting on BOT to rename it."

And I didn't realise that the steps were set out in the help page in the opposite order to that in which I should have carried them out.

Both versions are now showing up at

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:County_Limerick%2C_Cemeteries

but perhaps we now have to wait for the BOT to clean that up.

Looks good now, Paddy. Friary of Askeaton with one profile should be automatic and quite quick, but the other one with 17 also need a human approval step. See here.

I see that there are a few other Irish cemeteries "waiting on BOT" at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Waiting_on_BOT

I think you should talk to David Meredith about that. I just checked and there are MANY Irish cemeteries named without the county. This is across the board, in almost every county (Antrim's and Wicklow's all seem to be named according to the guideline).

Perhaps the entirety of Ireland's cemeteries needs a look.
